The initiative is called <\/span><strong data-start=\"374\" data-end=\"398\"><span dir=\"auto\">The Boat Team in Oxel\u00f6sund<\/span><\/strong><span dir=\"auto\"> and gathers actors such as Oxel\u00f6sund's local heritage association, the Pilot Archive, the Archipelago Museum, Friends of the Fishing Boat, and the Maritime Museum in a joint effort to care for and develop our maritime history.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"631\" data-end=\"677\"><span dir=\"auto\">A network with structure and activities<\/span><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"678\" data-end=\"878\"><span dir=\"auto\">The Boat Team is more than a name \u2013 it is a network where the associations jointly plan and carry out activities, working groups, and events with clearer structure and division of labor. The focus is on:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"879\" data-end=\"1506\">\n<li data-start=\"879\" data-end=\"1025\">\n<p data-start=\"881\" data-end=\"1025\"><strong data-start=\"881\" data-end=\"909\"><span dir=\"auto\">Maintenance and renovation<\/span><\/strong><span dir=\"auto\"> of clinker-built boats \u2013 a craft that reflects the Nordic boatbuilding tradition.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1026\" data-end=\"1176\">\n<p data-start=\"1028\" data-end=\"1176\"><strong data-start=\"1028\" data-end=\"1059\"><span dir=\"auto\">Documentation and preservation<\/span><\/strong><span dir=\"auto\"> of boat history and coastal traditions together with members and volunteers.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1177\" data-end=\"1344\">\n<p data-start=\"1179\" data-end=\"1344\"><strong data-start=\"1179\" data-end=\"1196\"><span dir=\"auto\">Working groups<\/span><\/strong><span dir=\"auto\"> that meet regularly for practical work and knowledge exchange, e.g. Boat Group Hulda and Boat Group Hassel\u00f6.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1345\" data-end=\"1506\">\n<p data-start=\"1347\" data-end=\"1506\"><strong data-start=\"1347\" data-end=\"1375\"><span dir=\"auto\">Study circles and courses<\/span><\/strong><span dir=\"auto\"> , including in the operation and maintenance of stationary engines as part of spreading knowledge.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 data-start=\"1508\" data-end=\"1547\"><span dir=\"auto\">The calendar full of maritime meetings<\/span><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1548\" data-end=\"1659\"><span dir=\"auto\">In 2026, the Boat Team plans several exciting activities where you can participate and experience coastal life up close:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1660\" data-end=\"2205\">\n<li data-start=\"1660\" data-end=\"1766\">\n<p data-start=\"1662\" data-end=\"1766\"><span dir=\"auto\">Display of <\/span><strong data-start=\"1673\" data-end=\"1713\"><span dir=\"auto\">clinker-built boats at wooden boat docks<\/span><\/strong><span dir=\"auto\"> in Oxel\u00f6sund.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1767\" data-end=\"1897\">\n<p data-start=\"1769\" data-end=\"1897\"><strong data-start=\"1769\" data-end=\"1800\"><span dir=\"auto\">Pilot Day in Oxel\u00f6sund<\/span><\/strong><span dir=\"auto\"> , a tribute to the coast's pilot and shipping traditions.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1898\" data-end=\"2033\">\n<p data-start=\"1900\" data-end=\"2033\"><strong data-start=\"1900\" data-end=\"1920\"><span dir=\"auto\">Fem\u00f6re Day 2026<\/span><\/strong><span dir=\"auto\"> \u2013 where the Boat Team contributes with activities around wooden boats and maritime culture.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2034\" data-end=\"2205\">\n<p data-start=\"2036\" data-end=\"2205\"><strong data-start=\"2036\" data-end=\"2057\"><span dir=\"auto\">Cultural Heritage Days<\/span><\/strong><span dir=\"auto\"> with the theme \u201dHeritage in the Danger Zone \u2013 Cultural Heritage Worth Protecting!\u201d where boat culture is included in the broader cultural heritage work.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 data-start=\"2207\" data-end=\"2231\"><span dir=\"auto\">Join and contribute!<\/span><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2232\" data-end=\"2527\"><span dir=\"auto\">The Boat Team is open to you who want to get involved \u2013 whether you are interested in practical boat building, documentation, event planning, or want to share memories and stories from the coast and archipelago.
