Femöredagen becomes a part of the Archipelago Festival 2026

We are happy to announce that the traditional Femöredagen now becomes a part of the grand Archipelago Festival in Oxelösund on August 29!

Through a new collaboration between Oxelösund Business Association , Friends of the Fishing Boat and Leader Sörmlandskusten, we want to together create an even stronger meeting place around the sea, the archipelago, and the maritime cultural heritage.

The Archipelago Festival will offer music, activities, clinker boats, tours, sing-alongs, and family activities – while Femöredagen's historical and maritime identity continues to thrive in a larger context.

For us within Wooden Waves this feels especially important. The project is about strengthening and highlighting the local wooden boat culture through collaboration and new meetings between people. Therefore, we see collaboration around the Archipelago Festival as an exciting step towards revitalizing and developing Femöredagen for the future.

We hope that this can be the start of a new tradition where cultural heritage, community life, and tourism together contribute to strengthening the image of Oxelösund as a vibrant maritime city.
