Do you want to offer visitors along the Sörmland coast an experience beyond the ordinary?
In Femörefortet i Oxelösund awaits one of Sweden's most fascinating facilities from the Cold War – today a living museum, run with great volunteer commitment.
The association is responsible for all operations at the fort and invites visitors to guided tours deep into the mountain. Here you can step straight into Sweden's modern defense history and experience tunnels, cannons, command centers, and the environments where personnel once lived and worked – in a facility that was long completely classified.
In addition to tours, the association also runs a shop and café, organizes events, and continuously works on the maintenance and development of the area. Adjacent to the fort, there is also the opportunity to rent the charming lighthouse keeper's residence – perfect for groups, associations, or events by the sea.
Femörefortet is a strong destination along the Sörmland coast – where history, coastal landscape, and volunteer engagement meet.
An obvious stop for both curious tourists, school classes, and anyone who wants to experience a completely unique part of our shared cultural heritage.
